▬ General State of the game (Small postmortem)

Mini-games:
The game was supposed to have two more mini games: One where you have to beat the kid with the lighter in something like rock-paper-scissors and another one where you get access to Jack's room and feed his 5* gacha-game character to a 1* character.

All mini games were supposed to be implemented with a timer but I had no time at all for that haha

Background for "Jack's room"

Camera:
Camera is kind of wonky. The movement doesn't feel fitting for the game's graphics. Maybe it's because of the way the project was scaled to fit the 64x64 constraint.

Mouse Cursor:
I'm just using a custom sprite for the default mouse cursor. Before that, I tried to overwrite it by having an Area2D that follows the mouse and displays a "fake" cursor while hiding the real one. But that cursor was always hidden behind the CanvasLayer's dialogue box and I couldn't fix it in time... that's why it doesn't snap to the graphical pixels.

Dialogues:
It's really hard to write when the textbox can only hold a few characters. I didn't want to split sentences into too many lines... I think this was the hardest part of making the game.

▬ About Browser Version

The "beep" sound for the text has an ugly effect right at the end of the track. It doesn't sound like that in the desktop ver. and I don't know why.

▬ What's next?

I learned so much in the 7 days I was working on this but I feel like I'll forget a lot soon since I had to hurry applying it. So I'll try to come back to it someday or use the core features I've built in another small project.

Thanks for stopping by!
